Ethereal Aqua Media
The Art of Barbara Goldstein

Barbara Goldstein's works have taken a forward leap into a glorious new perspective. Since the artist's summer sojourn in Paris, the distinctive soft, gossamer quality of her watercolor imagery has embraced the new hues, new shapes, new concepts that have recently commanded the attention of her brushstrokes. Her clients across the country are experiencing Barbara's work with a new eye as they behold an unprecedented emergence of vivid primary colors and provocative architectural shapes.

Yet it must be noted that Barbara's "Parisian Connection" has only added to her unique style of impressionism; nothing has been lost of her familiar blend of watercolor and textures glinted with gold, silver, and copper. Indeed, the character of her work still retains the ethereal aura that captures the imagination and invites the viewer inside her paintings.

If her highly individualistic view of the continent seems predominant in her collections, it is because her time in Paris touched the very heart of her work, even as all her travels have had a profound influence on her artistic vision. Whenever she might be, when Barbara Goldstein's artistry is set into motion, realism merges with fantasy, and the esthetic result is reflected in the eye of the beholder.

Barbara currently lives in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, where she teaches art to support charitable organizations. She also teaches art on various cruise ships.
